The kick off meeting of the Good Wood project, funded by the European Union, which sees the Confederation as the leader of the activities, will take place in Rome on 7 and 8 March, at the Confapi headquarters. The project aims to strengthen social dialogue with a view to reorganizing production in the wood furniture sector. The development of the green economy is an important challenge for European social dialogue considering the role and future evolution of relations between trade unions, employers' organizations, institutions and civil society. In line with the objectives set by the EU, the project intends to train and inform the actors involved, paying attention to new technologies for the production of products and to the requalification of professionals in the wood-furniture sector. The first phase of the training is scheduled for May. The partners involved are the Tagliacarne Institute, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Bulgarian Trade Union PodKrepa, the European Confederation of Wood and Furniture Companies Cei-Bois and Aimmp, the Association of Wood and Furniture Industries of Portugal. The meeting will see the participation of all partners and will be an opportunity to illustrate the phases of the project, and define the strategies and tasks of each partner.
