Presentation of European practices in green social dialogue

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with LC Podkrepa, organized the first national event under the GOOD WOOD project - strengthening social dialogue and achieving reorganization of production and management in the timber and wood processing sectors. The project starts in early 2019 and the partnership covers business organizations, unions and universities from Italy, Portugal, Belgium and Bulgaria. During the meeting, European practices in green social dialogue were presented based on information from the lead partner - the Italian Confederation of SMEs and the European Woodworking Confederation.
The role of employers' organizations and trade unions in promoting the green dimension of social dialogue was also the focus of the event. The participants, business representatives from the woodworking sector and interested institutions, widely discussed the need to adapt the industry to the growing environmental waves in the economy and consumption, as well as compliance with international good practices in the field of social dialogue.
The Good Wood project envisages holding 2 more national events and one international meeting in Bulgaria. BCCI will continue to inform on the topic.
